EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: A PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT IN A PRIMARY SCHOOL WITH EXPERIENCE AS A DEPUTY PRINCIPAL, HEAD OF DEPARTMENT OR SCHOOL MANAGEMENT TEAM MEMBER. RELEVANT TEACHING QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR DEPUTY POST LEVEL AS WELL AS CURRENT SACE REGISTRATION. THOROUGH KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE IN THE CAPS CURRICULUM IN A PRIMARY SCHOOL. ABLE TO SUPPORT THE PRINCIPAL IN THE LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT OF THE SCHOOL IN ITS ENTIRETY. REPUTABLE SUCCESS LEADING THROUGH INSPIRATION AND STRENGTH OF CHARACTER. PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF ONGOING PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. PROVEN ADMINISTRATION AND ORGANISATIONAL EXPERIENCE. PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN MANAGING DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION IN EDUCATION. DISPLAYS A PERSONAL COMMITMENT TO TRANSFORMATION AND ANTI-RACISM. ABILITY TO EMPOWER AND NURTURE GROWTH IN OTHERS THROUGH EXCELLENT RELATIONSHIP SKILLS AND A CONSCIOUS COLLABORATIVE FOCUS. INSPIRATIONAL AND INNOVATIVE APPROACH TO TEACHING AND LEARNING. PROVEN EXPERIENCE OF USING TECHNOLOGY TO ENHANCE TEACHING, LEARNING AND ASSESSMENT. ABLE TO MANAGE THE PUPIL GUIDANCE PORTFOLIO INCLUDING MEETING WITH PARENTS, ENGAGING LEARNERS AND HAVING POSITIVE RESTORATIVE DISCIPLINE STRATEGIES. RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE OF INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL SYSTEMS, SUCH AS, BUT NOT LIMITED TO STAFFROOM, IQMS, SPMDS, SCHOOL BUDGET, SCHOOL GOVERNANCE AND TIMETABLES KNOWLEDGE OF SCHOOL POLICIES, PROCEDURES AND EDUCATIONAL LAWS PERTAINING TO THE EFFECTIVE RUNNING OF THE SCHOOL. STRONG COMMAND OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE (WRITTEN AND SPOKEN). PROFICIENCY IN AT LEAST TWO SOUTH AFRICAN LANGUAGES WOULD BE ADVANTAGEOUS. ABLE TO MEET THE DEMANDS OF A LEADING SCHOOL WHICH REQUIRES WORK BEYOND SCHOOL HOURS.
