MUST HAVE PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN THE MANAGEMENT OF SPECIAL SCHOOL LEARNER TRANSPORT. EXPERIENCE IN CURRICULUM MANAGEMENT OF BOTH ACADEMIC AND SKILLS SUBJECTS THAT FALL WITHIN THE DCAPS CURRICULUM IS ESSENTIAL. KNOWLEDGE OF DIFFERENTIATED ASSESSMENT TECHNIQUES AND MODERATION PERTAINING TO LEARNERS WITH SEVERE INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES IS ESSENTIAL. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: MUST HAVE A COMPREHENSIVE UNDERSTANDING OF SCHOOL GOVERNANCE, AS A WCED REPRESENTATIVE ON THE SGB. MUST HAVE EXCELLENT KNOWLEDGE REGARDING ALL DBE AND WCED EDUCATION POLICIES, THE DEVELOPMENT OF SCHOOL BASED POLICIES AND THE IMPLEMENTATION THEREOF, WITH SPECIAL UNDERSTANDING OF SASA, THE CHILDRENS ACT, ABUSE NO MORE PROTOCOL, WHITE PAPER 6, SIAS PROTOCOL. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE IN FACILITATING AND PROVIDING OUTREACH SUPPORT TO OTHER MAINSTREAM AND SPECIAL SCHOOLS. ADMINISTRATION & MANAGEMENT SKILLS: EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH THE ADMINISTRATION SYSTEMS OF THE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT, E.G. CEMIS, SPMDS, WSE, SIPS, PMPS, IQMS ETC. EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH EDUCATION AND LABOUR POLICIES AND LEGISLATIONS. EXPERIENCE IN THE MANAGEMENT OF A SCHOOL AND THE DRAFTING OF BUDGETS IS A VERY STRONG RECOMMENDATION. KNOWLEDGE OF ASSET MANAGEMENT, INVENTORIES, PROCUREMENT PROCESSES, AND FUNDRAISING IS RECOMMENDED. PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN CONFLICT MANAGEMENT AND THE DISCIPLINARY PROCESSES OF BOTH LEARNERS AND STAFF IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN THE MANAGEMENT AND CAPACITY BUILDING OF STAFF WILL BE A STRONG RECOMMENDATION. CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE IN AFRIKAANS AND ENGLISH. ISIXHOSA WILL BE AN ADDED RECOMMENDATION. MUST POSESS PROFICIENT COMPUTER SKILLS, AND CAPABLE OF PROMOTING WCEDS VISION OF E-LEARNING. UNDERSTAND THE WCED MANTRA, T2P, FUNCTIONAL SCHOOLS INITIATIVE AND THE WCED VALUES IN EDUCATION. CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO PREPARE AND PRESENT A POWER POINT PRESENTATION DURING THE INTERVIEW PROCESS. SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES WILL BE EXPECTED TO UNDERGO A COMPETENCY BASED ASSESSMENT TEST CONDUCTED BY THE WCED.
