QUALIFICATIONS: REQV 13. SACE REGISTERED. 5 YEARS TEACHING EXPERIENCE. DEPARTMENTAL HEAD EXPERIENCE AN ADVANTAGE. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL BE A DYNAMIC, ENERGETIC, VISIONARY, USES HIS/HER INITIATIVE AND SELF-MOTIVATED WHO IS CONVERSANT WITH THE JOB DESCRIPTION OF A DEPUTY PRINCIPAL. ASSIST THE HEADMASTER, OR, TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR: SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION E.G. DUTY ROSTER, ARRANGEMENTS TO COVER ABSENT STAFF, INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL EVALUATION AND ASSESSMENT, LEARNER ADMISSION, CLASS STREAMING, SCHOOL FUNCTIONS; SCHOOL FINANCE, MAINTENANCE OF BUILDINGS E.G. PLANNING/CONTROL OF EXPENDITURE, ALLOCATION OF FUNDS/RESOURCES, CLEANLINESS AND STATE OF REPAIRS ¿ SCHOOL/FURNITURE AND EQUIPMENT, SUPERVISING ANNUAL STOCK-TAKING EXERCISES. KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE OF FINANCIAL, BUDGETING; KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND APPLICATION OF EDUCATIONAL LAWS AND EDUCATION POLICIES EXTRA- & CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES. HE/SHE MUST BE WILLING TO SERVE A DIVERSE COMMUNITY. MUST HAVE PROVEN EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP, COMMUNICATION & MANAGEMENT SKILLS TO PROVIDE & ENSURE EXCELLENT TEACHING. GOOD HUMAN RELATIONS. A COMPREHENSIVE KNOWLEDGE OF SCHOOL GOVERNANCE, DRAFTING OF POLICIES, DEVELOPMENT SGB POLICIES AND IMPLEMENTATION. MANAGE & COORDINATE PLANNING AS WELL AS THE OPERATIONAL PLANS OF THE SCHOOL. HE/SHE MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO MANAGE THE SCHOOL IN THE ABSENCE OF THE HEADMASTER & LIASE WITH RELEVANT GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS/DEPARTMENTS. THE APPLICANT MUST HAVE A SOUND KNOWLEDGE OF CAPS, QMS, SPMDS, HCLMS, CEMIS AS WELL AS WORKING EXPERIENCE. INVOLVEMENT IN SSE, SIT FORMULATION AND SIM MONITORING IS BENEFICIAL. DEADLINE DRIVEN AND MEET DEADLINES. TO BE ABLE TO INCORPORATE E-LEARNING IN THE CLASSROOM SESSIONS. THE CANDIDATE MUST BE COMMITTED TO THE ETHOS AND VALUES OF THE SCHOOL. WILLING TO WORK BEYOND WORKING HOURS. HE/SHE MUST BE COMPUTER LITERATE. INVOLVEMENT IN EXTRA MURAL AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES. KNOWLEDGE OF ASSESSMENT PROGRAMMES, TECHNIQUES & CURRICULUM MANAGEMENT. EXPERIENCE IN MONITORING EDUCATOR WORK, NON CS STAFF & MODERATION OF DEPARTMENTAL HEADS TO PROMOTE EEFECTIVE & EFFICIENT TEACHING PEDAGOGIES. STRONG QUALITY TEACHING. EXPERIENCE IN ICT TRAINING. ENSURING EDUCATOR AND LEARNER ETHICS AND CONDUCT. TRANSFORM TO PERFORM OBJECTIVES, SAFETY PROTOCOLS, STRICTLY ADHERED TOO. FAMILIAR WITH ALL THE WCED POLICIES AND OPERATING SYSTEMS. HE/SHE MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO COMPILE AND IMPLEMENT SUPPORT PROGRAMMES TO IMPROVE SUBJECT STRATEGIES. MANAGEMENT OF PROJECTS, EG. FUNDRAISING, MARKETING AND NETWORKING. KNOWLEDGE OF KEEPING A SCHOOL INVENTORY AND DISPOSAL OF FURNITURE. FACILITATE QUARTERLY LTSM RETRIEVAL. EXPERIENCE OF STAFF DEVELOPMENT. KNOWLEDGE TO IMPLEMENT & MANAGE DISCIPLINARY SYSTEMS, ABILITY TO MANAGE CONFLICT. COMPETENCY CBA TEST TO BE DONE.
