A recognised NSC/SC certificate. A valid driver’s license. Proficiency in at least two official languages of the Western Cape.
The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the following tasks: administer the appointment of marking officials for the national assessments/examinations; perform compliance checking on online marker systems; support the marker nomination meetings with accurate data and secretarial duties; take minutes at marker appointment meetings; support training of markers and administration of marking centres; administer the post marking processes including processing evaluation forms, claims etc. ; support and assist the re-mark and review processes; support and assistant the director with the monitoring of the implementation of national assessment policy and processes; support the administration of competency tests processes for markers; assist in the development of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for this section of the marking unit; perform general office administration and secretarial duties as required, and perform specific duties at the marking centres, after hours.
Knowledge of relevant policies, circulars, and regulations of the National Department of Basic Education and the WCED. Knowledge of regulations for the administration and conduct of examination and assessment.
