Appropriate three (3) year qualification in Education (REQV 13). Five (5) years' e-Learning experience within a teaching environment. Registration with SACE. A valid driver's licence.
Facilitate and provide training to SAs with respect to digital resources for teaching and learning and eLearning integration methodologies. Conduct advocacy on ICT training for teaching and learning. Cultivate and enhance the eCulture at school and district level. Liaise with relevant role-players in ICT Curriculum training (District Office Training Committee, eLearning HO, CTLI). Establish and manage a database on ICT support and training. Monitor and report back on ICT integrated training. Manage, coordinate and implement the sourcing, quality assurance, digitizing and deployment of resources, software and freeware. Manage, implement and maintain the WCED eLearning platform. Coordinate, implement and provide support. Identify and provide information related to development needs for integrating ICT into the curriculum and end user technology use. (Form part of Professional Development plan for the District.) Develop and implement a business plan for district ICT integration development initiatives. Plan coordinate and implement training as per Provincial/National eLearning initiatives (e.g. organise Train- the trainer- sessions). Develop and implement in collaboration with relevant officials the District ICT Operational Plan (Line management). Coordinate and manage ICT integrated training / workshop program of service providers. Provide as well as facilitate training in the use of innovative technologies for curriculum purposes to officials and teachers.
Knowledge of the use of ICT's in education. Knowledge of eLearning practices. Ability to develop and evaluate digital resources. Experience in eLearning work within an education environment. A good understanding of eLearning theories and models. Knowledge of relevant eLearning Provincial Policies, legislation and regulations.
