Manage and oversee the capacity building and training initiatives for CS-Educators in new technologies, applications and e-Learning methodologies.

per annum. All-inclusive package to be structured in accordance with the set rules.
Basic 3-year degree or diploma (REQV 13) in Education or teacher qualification preferably (REQV 14) • at least 8 years’ appropriate experience as teacher • Valid drivers’ license • Registration with SACE as a professional educator.• high level of proficiency at least TWO of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
Manage the development of material to develop the E-teacher · Identify, assess and recommend existing eLearning materials and modules within the WCED to be integrated into menu of available digital content on WCED ePortal or other technology· Identify, assess and recommend existing eLearning materials and modules within the private / NGO sector to be integrated into menu of available digital content on WCED ePortal or other technological platforms · Identify eContent needs, in particular in the areas of Mathematics and Languages, and specify and source / develop material for inclusion on WCED ePortal or other technological platforms · Use identified material and develop programmes to be utilised during training interventions· Continuously identify possible solutions to address e-teacher development requirements · Design needs base support courses for e-Learning.
Manage and oversee capacity building initiatives · Develop a capacity building plan for e-teacher development· Manage the roll-out of the capacity building initiatives · Identify champions in schools and build a community of practice to support, mentor and develop teachers · Manage the LMS used for ICT Training.
Liaison with role players · Work closely with all role players in the development of teachers to ensure a progressive pathway from basic skills to full eLearning integration · Advising, informing and obtaining necessary approvals from relevant governance bodies on the project, e.g. ITOPSCOM approvals, signoffs, awards, procurement, delivery and invoicing
· Continuous engagement and communication within the WCED organization to effect the
systemic change that the e-Learning Game Changer brings· Communicate plans of action with key stakeholders within Districts and components at head office dealing with districts
· Communicate and engage with schools directly on the changed environment · Work with Knowledge Management and Business Intelligence and Districts towards integrated school management systems · Ensure optimal utilization of services that the WAN and LAN offers schools· Advising, informing and obtaining necessary approvals from relevant governance bodies on guidelines and policies created
Reporting and administration · Measuring, managing and reporting on project risks, constraints and issues · Identifying, negotiating and securing project resource requirements
· Making sure project documentation is up to date and saved in the designated repositories
· Ensuring that all projects are managed according to project governance processes and
Procedures · Ensuring project success and minimizing project budget overruns and lack of service delivery · Ensuring strict adherence to the corporate policies of WCED and of the WCG at large · Measuring, managing and reporting on project risks, constraints and issues
· Identifying, negotiating and securing project resource requirements · Making sure project documentation is up to date and saved in the designated repositories · Ensuring that all projects are managed according to project governance processes and procedures
The policies, rules, regulations and strategic objectives related to the National and Provincial Department of Education especially with respect to eLearning programmes, POPIA and eEducation •Thorough knowledge of teaching methodologies e.g. SAMR, Blooms taxonomy •Sense of demographics of WCED
